About

A fishing journal made in Colorado.

Cast Your Line is a private fishing journal app for Mac, with iPhone and iPad coming soon, created by Quiet Tools, a small independent app studio based in Colorado, US.

Why we built Cast Your Line

Most fishing apps are built around sharing: public catch logs, hot spot maps, follower counts, and leaderboards. That works for some anglers. We wanted something quieter: a personal fishing log that keeps the whole day, not just the fish, and never asks you to perform for an audience.

Cast Your Line lets you record fishing trips, log catches and species, save photos and notes, remember the lakes and rivers that matter to you, and look back through your history, yearly recaps, and printable photo books. It works without an account. Route recording is part of the iPhone and iPad app, which is coming soon.

Made by Quiet Tools in Colorado

Quiet Tools is an independent software studio in Colorado, US, that makes calm, focused apps for everyday life. Our apps share a few principles: no required accounts, no ads, no behavioral tracking, and your information stays yours.

Colorado has no shortage of water worth remembering: alpine lakes, tailwaters, reservoirs like Blue Mesa, and long stretches of river you can walk for a whole morning. Cast Your Line grew out of wanting to keep those days somewhere better than a camera roll.
